Who is international for?
International provides Scout Volunteers with the information and methods they need to plan and run international activities as part of their programmes. It also encourages active participation in
international activities across the age ranges. It does not however cover leading or supporting international trips and nights away.
By the end of this module you should be able to:
- List the benefits of international activities for young people.ll of this content in full detail (is 5.5 hours of learning)
- Explain the worldwide nature of Scouting and the role of the World Membership Badge.
- Outline the major international Scouting events and activities and explain how young people can become involved in them.
- Detail how international aspects feature in the Programme.
- Suggest ways of obtaining resources, ideas and material to support the international aspects of their section’s programme.
- Suggest ways to include/emphasise the importance of including international aspects (including visits and expeditions as appropriate) as an integral part of their section’s programming.
