The course achieves these objectives:

As a result of taking part in this course, attendees will be able to

• Describe the Scouts volunteer learning / Nights Away Permit Scheme / Adventurous Activity Scheme and how they operate.
• Explain their own and others’ roles within the scheme.
• Identify the learning or development needs of the people they support and/or assess.
• Undertake appropriate assessments/ accreditations/validations.
• Provide constructive feedback on positive areas and areas to develop.
• Explain how they can demonstrate the values and methods of The Scouts in their role.
• Plan to meet their own subject knowledge needs.
