This two-day course will provide participants with an opportunity to explore and reflect on their leadership skills and their approach to working with individuals and teams.
Objectives.
– Reflect on their preferred leadership style and explain how this impacts on how they work with others.
– Apply effective and appropriate communication methods and active listening techniques.
– Identify the skills needed within a team and select appropriate team members.
– Build an effective team.
– Motivate a team.
– Provide effective and supportive feedback.
– Use coaching to help a volunteer develop their potential.
– Use strong relationships inside and outside of Scouting to benefit their Scouting.
